Profile: Emily Sarsfield

Seven times British Ski Cross Champion, Emily is fast on her way to becoming one of Britain's most successful winter athletes.

After taking up skiing as a child, Emily got her shot at International competitions in 2006 when she took part, for the first time, on the FIS Ski Cross World Cup circuit. Following a serious knee injury in early 2009, Emily announced her comeback to the sport in the 2009/10 season with a bang - creating British skiing history by becoming the first female athlete to win a Skiing Europa Cup race in Val Thorens, France.

Since 2010 Emily has consistently finished at the top, alongside the most established names in the sport, and now has her sights sets firmly on the 2018 Winter Games.
